Ditch the standard weekend plans and treat yourself to a creative retreat designed just for you. Join us for a relaxed, hands-on session where you’ll hand-build custom ceramic gadgets to elevate your home kitchen.

Come share your favorite recipes with fellow cooking maniacs and mingle while you craft your own personalized tools and gadgets. This one-time workshop is all about slowing down, getting inspired, and making beautiful, functional pieces that you’ll use every day.

Date: Aug 15th, 2026 (Saturday)
Time: 2:00pm-5:00pm
Location: Ground Ceramic Studio (3981 Kingsway Unit A, Burnaby, BC V5H 1Y7)

Duration: 3 Hours |
Skill Level: All levels welcome (No experience required!)

Slow down and spend a creative afternoon crafting beautiful, functional pieces for your home. In this fast-paced, hands-on workshop, you will use traditional slab-building techniques to create a custom set of everyday kitchen essentials.

What You'll Make

Select 1-3 items. Within the 3-hour session, you will hand-build and add simple, personalized designs to a variety of practical countertop gadgets:

  • Spoon Rest

  • Garlic Grater

  • Egg Carton (Ceramic holder)

  • Soap Dish

  • Salt & Herbs Dish

  • Chopstick Holder

No clay experience needed, just come ready to build and slow down a little. All materials are included. Each participant will complete one main piece (plus a small add-on if time allows), and our team will finish it with a clear glaze before kiln firing.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

There will be no refunds or rescheduling for this class.

If classes are cancelled or interrupted by a Public Health Order, refunds will not be available. We will rearrange the class within a reasonable time frame.

Student pots will be kept at the studio for only 6 months after the end date of the class, no later. It is the student’s responsibility to contact Ground Ceramic Studio if they are unable to pick up their pieces on the dates provided by their instructor, no exceptions. 

Please note that class are only for age 19 or above
