What is your favourite pastry? A Croissant Egg Tart, an Earl Grey Financier with Chocolate Caramel or a Coffee Pandan Danish?
You know we’re always cooking up something fun. This time, we’re teaming up with Jack’s Spot Cafe + Bakery for a pottery workshop with a hand made pastry dish inspired by Jack’s Spot delicious pastries.
Bring your favourite snack dish at home or some inspiration images. We’ll use it as inspiration to hand-build your own ceramic version from scratch.
During this beginner-friendly hand-building pottery workshop at Jack’s Spot you’ll learn how to construct your ceramic dish using clay and personalize it with underglaze. Take inspiration from your existing cup, create something completely different, or add a little nod to Jack’s Spot and its dog-loving personality.
Imagine making your cookie dish while having coffee only makes sense.
No previous pottery experience is required. All clay, tools, and materials are included. Each participant will complete one main ceramic piece, plus a small add-on if time allows. After the workshop, our team will clear glaze and kiln-fire your work for you.
Less waste, slower mornings, and a pastry companion you actually made yourself.
Please note that this workshop is for ages 19 and above.
There will be no refunds or rescheduling for this workshop. Please double-check your schedule before booking.
Finished pieces will be kept at Ground Ceramic Studio for up to 6 months after the workshop. It is the student’s responsibility to arrange pickup within this period.
You’ll receive an instant confirmation after booking, followed by a welcome email with workshop details approximately one week before your session.
Have questions before booking? Email us at throwing@groundceramicstudio.ca and our team will be happy to help.
